FAQ #6817, published on 2013-03-01
Dongle becomes inoperative after Windows Update (february 2013) concerning the Safenet driver

This problem is not systematic and involves only dongles whose firmware <= 2.16. On the same machine, for example, WINDEV MOBILE dongle will be functional, WEBDEV dongle will not work.

The solution is to restore the old driver, that comes on the DVD or in the download package.
This is the executable \Hotline\Hasp\haspdinst.exe.

The installation is performed on the command line (DOS box) in two steps:
- Step 1: Uninstall the current driver
HASPDINST-r

- Step 2: Install the driver 5.75
HASPDINST-i

To use the command line in Windows, do "Start .. Run .. cmd". A blue window will appear with a text more or less identical to this.
