FAQ #3571, published on 2010-09-06
How to prevent or fix HyperFileSQL index corruption when using HyperFileSQL files on a WINDOWS 2008 server ?
This FAQ concerns only Classic HyperFileSQL files located on a shared network. This is an issue with WINDOWS SERVER 2008 for which MICROSOFT already provides a fix and a workaround ("Data corruption when multiple users perform read and write operations to a shared file in the SMB2 environment").

Data corruption may occur with files hosted on a WINDOWS SERVER 2008 shared folder when the Client system is neither Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008. You may experience an index corruption in such a configuration.

You will find more informations on how to prevent or fix this problem here : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028965/en-us

Note that to share HyperFileSQL files on a server, the best way is to use a HyperFileSQL server and that this FAQ does not concern files handled by HyperFileSQL server.
