FAQ #2693, published on 2003-06-23
When reading HyperFileSQL data from Access via the HyperFileSQL ODBC driver, automatic identifiers appear as strings. Is it possible to get a numeric type?
This is a limitation of Access that do not recognize the SQL_BIGINT type used by the HyperFileSQL ODBC Driver for 8-byte automatic identifiers. As a workaround, you may change the identifier type in your analysis, using a 4-byte identifier instead of a 8-byte one.
