Google map shows "For development purposes only", how to fix it ?

Google Maps is no longer free. You have to associate a credit card so that you can get billed if your site has requests that exceed the $200 credit they give you monthly for free.


Your old key is not valid anymore. This is what indicates the "For development purposes only" visible on your map.


The watermarked with “for development purposes only” is returned when any of the following is true:

  •     The request is missing an API key.
  •     Billing has not been enabled on your account.
  •     The provided billing method is invalid (for example an expired credit card).
  •     A self-imposed daily limit has been exceeded.


As for the MapLicenseGgl() command, there is a change also:  it must be called before the window holding the map is opened. Please go to this page of the documentation for more details:
